Most recliner repairs are to the failure of one of the following: A. Seat spring or spring clip breakage. B. Footrest release mechanism breaks.C. Broken rivets on the mechanism causing the unit to lean or sag, and D. Broken frame members or missing/broken screws/bolts holding the frame in place.

Gliders and swivel rockers have their own unique problems but all can be repaired even if it requires a new mechanism be installed.
